BIAS SOAP 1.0 public review begins

The profile specifies XML-encoded SOAP messages to exchange biometric
data and perform biometric-based identity operations. The review ends
12 Apr.

Electronic Court Filing 4.01 public review begins

Version 4.01 adds a set of XML and Web services specifications to
promote interoperability among electronic court filing vendors and
systems. This is a maintenance release that addresses several minor
schema and definition issues identified by implementers. The review
ends 28 Mar.

eGov MS holds Steering Committee elections

Nominations are now open for five seats on the OASIS eGov Member
Section Steering Committee. OASIS eGov serves as a focal point for
discussions of governmental and public administration requirements for
e-business standardization. Bringing together representatives from
global, regional, national and local government agencies, OASIS eGov
provides a platform for those who share a common interest in directing
and understanding the impact of open standards on the public sector.
All eGov Member Section participants are invited to vote. Elections
close 4 Mar.

OASIS adds Facebook group page

Members are invited to use the new page for informal community
building, e.g., post photos and videos from OASIS meetings and other
events, promote the latest TC accomplishment, comment on
announcements, notify others of blogs or articles related to OASIS
work...  A video and photos from the recent KMIP Interop demonstration
is available now.

OASIS cosponsors Key Management Summit

Members receive a discount at this data security event, which be held
30-31 Mar in Pacific Grove, California. Sessions on several OASIS
Standards, including the Key Management Interoperability Protocol
