This group will work to advance a platform-agnostic protocol that provides organizations with an easier, more secure approach to passing real-time data streams and business transactions. The goal of AMQP is to ensure information is safely and efficiently transported between applications, among organizations, across distributed cloud computing environments, and within mobile infrastructures. TC proposers include representatives of Bank of America, Deutsche Borse, INETCO, JPMorgan Chase, Kaazing, Microsoft, my-Channels, Progress Software, Red Hat, Software AG, VMware, and others. Angus Telfer of INETCO is the convener; a TC chair or two co-chairs will be elected at the first meeting, which will be held on 14 Oct in New York. The SC also will foster productive relationships between the main XLIFF TC and other standardization bodies. David Filip of the Localisation Research Centre serves as the chair. All interested parties are invited to join (membership in the parent XLIFF TC is required). http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/tc_home.php?wg_abbrev=xliff-promotion ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Universal Business Language (UBL) 2.1 public review begins UBL is the product of an international effort to define a royalty-free library of standard electronic XML business documents such as purchase orders and invoices.
