Web Experience Management Interoperability (WEMI) TC forms

This group will work to define a simple domain model for WEM and an
abstract feature set that will be commonly implemented by Web content
management systems. TC proposers include representatives of Adobe,
Enonic, Hippo, Jahia, Liferay, Magnolia, Nuxeo, OpenText, SDL Tridion,
and others. David Nuescheler of Adobe is the convener; a TC chair or
two co-chairs will be elected at the first meeting, which will be held
by teleconference on 16 Jan. All interested parties are invited to

LegalRuleML TC forms

This Committee will produce a rule interchange language for the legal
domain. Their work will enable modeling  and reasoning so that
implementers can structure, evaluate, and compare legal arguments
constructed using rule representation tools. Monica Palmirani of the
University of Bologna, Italy serves as convener; a TC chair or two
co-chairs will be elected at the first meeting, which will be held by
teleconference on 19 Jan. All interested parties are invited to

Emergency Data Exchange Language (EDXL) public reviews begin

The EDXL Common Alerting Protocol (CAP)  Australia Profile 1.0
describes an interpretation of CAP for meeting the needs of the
Australian Government. Its public review ends 20 Jan. The EDXL
Distribution Element 2.0 describes a standard message distribution
format for data sharing among emergency information systems. Its
public review ends 23 Jan.

Public review begins for SCA-Policy specifications

Service Component Architecture (SCA) Policy Framework 1.1 provides a
framework to support specification of constraints, capabilities and
QoS expectations from component design through to concrete deployment.
TestCases for the SCA Policy Framework 1.1 describes a series of tests
that an SCA runtime must pass in order to claim conformance to the SCA
Policy. This public review ends 27 Dec.

Election & Voter Services TC approves Committee Specification

The Election Markup Language (EML) 7.0 includes specifications for
candidate nomination, referendum options, voter registration, ballot
information, voter authentication, vote casting, election counts, and
audit information.

Security Services (SAML) TC approves two Committee Specifications

SAML 2.0 Session Token Profile 1.0 defines a format for communicating
security session state information on authenticated users for Web
servers and application servers. SAML 2.0 Attribute Predicate Profile
1.0 provides a mechanism to allow a SAML authority to certify that a
given Boolean predicate holds over one or more of a subject’s
attribute values, without revealing the exact values of these
attributes.

Biometric Identity Assurance Services (BIAS) TC approves Committee Specification

The BIAS SOAP Profile 1.0 specifies how to applications can invoke
biometric identity assurance operations remotely in an SOA
infrastructure.

RSA Expo to feature KMIP and XACML Interop Demos

OASIS will host two interop demos at the RSA 2012 event in San
Francisco, 27 Feb-2 Mar.  Members of the Key Management
Interoperability Protocol (KMIP) TC and the eXtensible Access Control
Markup Language (XACML) TC will participate, including:  Axiomatics,
BiTKOO, Boeing, Cryptsoft, IBM, NetApp, NextLabs, Oracle,
QuintessenceLabs, SafeNet, and Thales Information Systems Security.

OASIS, Environment Canada, and ITU collaborate on workshop

The Emergency Alerting Policy Workshop will explore domestic policy
and international coordination issues for public alerting and identify
how these issues are being addressed within implementations of the
Common Alerting Protocol (CAP).  The workshop will be held in
Montréal, Canada, 1-2 May.  Details are available in English and
French.

TC Satisfaction Survey continues through 30 Dec

TC Members and Observers are invited to provide feedback on their TC
experiences via this brief survey. Respondents will be entered in a
drawing to win an OASIS aloha shirt or sweatshirt for themselves and
their TC Chair(s). The survey will remain open through December and
prize winners will be announced in January.
