Public Administration Cloud Requirements (PACR) TC forms

This group will work to develop a set of common, required functional elements and measurable criteria  that should be present in cloud computing services or installations employed by public administration entities. PACR TC proposers include representatives of Belgian SPF Finances, iFOSSF, and the New Zealand Government. John Borras serves as convener; a TC chair or two co-chairs will be elected at the first meeting, which will be held by teleconference on 28 Feb. OASIS Standard vote opens for Key Management Interoperability Protocol (KMIP)

Ballots for the KMIP Specification 1.1 and for KMIP Profiles 1.1 are now underway and will close 24 Jan. KMIP establishes a single, comprehensive protocol for communication between enterprise key management servers and cryptographic clients. The KMIP Specification and Profile were developed by representatives of OASIS Foundational Sponsor, IBM, and Sponsors, Axway, CA Technologies, CertiVox, Cryptsoft, EMC, Hewlett-Packard, Oracle, Red Hat, SafeNet, Symantec, Thales e-Security, U.S. NIST, Venafi, VMware, Vormetric, and others. All organizational members of OASIS are encouraged to vote on the KMIP documents; those who wish to discuss the ballots may do so through oasis-member-discuss@lists.oasis-open.org.

OASIS Standard vote opens for eXtensible Access Control Markup Language (XACML) 3.0

Balloting for XACML 3.0 is now underway and will close 22 Jan. It defines a core XML schema for representing authorization and entitlement policies. XACML 3.0 was developed by representatives of OASIS Foundational Sponsors, IBM, Microsoft, and Primeton, and by Sponsors, Axiomatics, Boeing, CA Technologies, Cisco, EMC, Jericho Systems, Oracle, Quest Software, Red Hat, SailPoint, U.S. Veterans Health Administration, ViewDS, and others. All organizational members of OASIS are encouraged to vote on XACML 3.0; those who wish to discuss the ballot may do so through oasis-member-discuss@lists.oasis-open.org.

OASIS Standard vote opens for AS4 Profile of ebMS 3.0

Balloting for the profile is now underway and will close 23 Jan. It is the modern successor of AS2 (IETF RFC 4130), a B2B messaging protocol widely adopted in retail and other industries. AS4 uses Web Services technologies championed by OASIS and conforms to the WS-I Basic Profile. The As4 Profile of ebMS was developed by representatives of OASIS Sponsors, Axway, Cisco, Fujitsu, and others. All organizational members of OASIS are encouraged to vote on the profile; those who wish to discuss the ballot may do so through oasis-member-discuss@lists.oasis-open.org.

OASIS Standard ballot opens for searchRetrieve 1.0

Balloting for searchRetrieve 1.0 is now underway and will close 30 Jan. searchRetrieve defines a generic protocol for the interaction required between a client and server for performing searches. The specification was developed by the Search Web Services TC, which is chaired by Ray Denenberg of the U.S. Library of Congress and Matthew Dovey of the University of Bristol. All organizational members of OASIS are encouraged to vote on searchRetrieve; those who wish to discuss the ballot may do so through oasis-member-discuss@lists.oasis-open.org.

Transformational Government Framework (TGF) TC publishes Committee Specification

TGF Pattern Language Core Patterns 1.0 provides a concise set of core problems and solutions that aid in implementing a program of technology-enabled change at the national, state or local government level. SOA-RAF 1.0 approved as Committee Specification

The Reference Architecture Foundation for Service Oriented Architecture 1.0 describes the foundation on which specific SOA concrete architectures can be built.
