The Topology and Orchestration Specification for Cloud Applications (TOSCA) TC has submitted TOSCA 1.0 for consideration as an OASIS Standard. TOSCA enables the association of higher-level operational behaviors with cloud infrastructure management, which facilitates much higher levels of cloud service and solution portability. All are invited to this information session on the XML Interchange Language (XMILE) for System Dynamics, a new OASIS TC that will develop an open protocol for sharing interoperable SD models and simulations. XMILE will enable the reuse of SD models with Big Data sets to show how different policies produce different outcomes in complex environments. The briefing will be held in Cambridge, Massachusetts on 23 Jul. Steve Adler, IBM Information Strategist, and Karim Chichakly, isee systems Chief Architect, will lead the discussion. The XMILE TC will hold its first meeting on 24 Jul, also at the conference.
