Advanced Message Queuing Protocol (AMQP) has now been approved for release as an ISO and IEC International Standard. Balloted through the Joint Technical Committee on Information Technology (JTC1) of ISO and IEC, the AMQP 1.0 OASIS Standard has been given the designation, ISO/IEC 19464. AMQP provides a platform-agnostic method for ensuring information is safely transported between applications, among organizations, within mobile infrastructures, and across the Cloud. Congratulations to AMQP TC chairs, Rob Godfrey of JPMorgan Chase, and Ram Jeyaraman of Microsoft, and to all members of the AMQP Member Section and TCs.
