Agenda:
1. Approve minutes from last meeting:
http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/oaxal/event.php?event_id=27921
2. Discuss Okapi as an Open Source implementation of OAXAL
3. OAXAL Publications, webinars and presentations for 2011

Minutes:
1. Derek Saldana proposed the minutes from the last meeting, Andrzej Zydroń seconded: minutes accepted.

2. Sergei Vasilyev gave a description Okapi in terms of history: started a few years ago as a .Net application, but moved to Java due to the better availability of third party libs such as Hibernate.

Sergei stated that there is no definitive roadmap, but user demand drives the feature list. Okapi is now starting a workbench project.

AZ described OAXAL and the way in which the component parts interact to provide an automated workflow.

3. AZ to publish more articles on OAXAL, possibly with TAUS mentioning Okapi. AZ may apply for a presentation slot in the CIDM DITA Europe conference, as well as the possibility of doing some webinars.

AOB:
Sergei asked about the principles of OAXAL, asking if it was about the automation of the localization process. AZ stated that a fuller description of OAXAL as being a complete authoring and localization solution, as well as expanding on the role of xml:tm within OAXAL. Authoring is as much an important aspect of the localization process as translation: quality begins with the source and consistent, clear and unambiguous source is vital for good localization.

AZ also proposed that the next version of OAXAL should encompass terminology based on the output from ETSI.

AZ invited Yves Savourel to attend the next TC meeting to discuss further cooperation between the OAXAL TC and the Okapi team.

This event is one in a list of recurring events.
