Subject: FW: [obix] Groups - oBIX Meeting: Workplan and Allignment modified

I am forwarding this because we really need to decide a better time. If EMIX is going to "own" Thursdays' at 11:00, we could consider Tuesdays at 11:00- but that still puts it at midnight for Japan. I was trying to miss lunch on the west coast.

I would like all people who anticipate being active participants in the next few months of oBIX to suggest when is a good time for them. We used to hit Europe at home with a glass of wine, late morning at work on the US east coast, and earlier than they usually get to work for California.

If Europe is not participating, I would be happy to move to a time better accommodating Asia.

Today, I'm not sure what the profiles of active participants is.

Another item for tomorrow...

Toby:

Thanks for the updated time. I will be on the call and also a gentleman named Tanaka-san. Mr Tanaka is from LonMark Japan and wants to participate in the call (even though it's now at 3am for him) to help with development. LonMark Japan developed an oBIX server off v1.0 and is using it in the Tokyo University "green" project (the one discussed by IBM, LBNL, and NIST).

I think that his group would be able to help us with resources to complete things and can also provide feedback about any difficulties or short-comings of the v1.0 oBIX that need to be addressed in v1.1 (or whatever we call it).

I would recommend, however, that we ascertain the number of Leftcoasters and Europers to determine if they cannot meet at any other times. The only time that would be fair to Japan is more-fair to California but Europe is out of luck:

Carolina Time: 6PM *(5PM)
California Time: 3PM *(2PM)
Arizona Time: 3PM
Germany Time: 12M *(11PM)
Japan Time: 7AM (the next day)

(*Time falls back an hour in winter)

Maybe this should be part of the Other Business? I'll let you decide.

Thanks,
- Jeremy
