Subject: Section 3.3
Obixers- After looking through Section 3.3, and thinking about how to change this, I still like the description of why URIs are a good thing. I agree it needs a MUST in there to require the use of RFC3986. So I am suggesting this for WD10: ·
remove the parenthetical reference to RFC3986 ·
Add a sentence at the end, simply saying: “An oBIX implementation MUST use the URI syntax described in
[RFC 3986] for identifying its contained resources, and for identifying resources in oBIX devices with which it communicates.” This provides a normative reference, but still leaves in place the prosaic motivation behind the choice. The conversion from conversational style to specification style I am leaving for another day. -Craig |
