Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (OBIX-46) Line 1692 - Format values

    [ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OBIX-46?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=34815#action_34815 ]

Craig Gemmill commented on OBIX-46:

Regarding the recommended reference to the CSV RFC, this is not intended to specify how CSV data is to be sent or encoded. This could just as easily be some other format. Perhaps it would make this intent cleaner to use a format that is not widely known? I had felt that a familiar format would be just one less thing for people to grok.

> Project: OASIS Open Building Information Exchange (oBIX) TC
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: OBIX 1.1 Specification
> Affects Versions: oBIX 1.1 PR01
> Environment: Toby Considine
> Reporter: Toby Considine
> Assignee: Craig Gemmill
> The example in line 1692 indicates text/csv as a named value. Are there others? The value is apparently using a mime-type. Are other mime-types supported? Which ones?
