Subject: RE: [obix] Editors: Important Housekeeping blocking public review
If you are touching every document (to purge the oBIX), after the vote, our editor for the WebSocket binding realized that we had everywhere in thoat specification
referred to Web Sockets. In RFC 6455 (The WebSocket Protocol), the protocol is named WebSocket. Even if nowhere else, it would be nice to get the title correct. (“Bindings for WebSocket”) That error is certainly mine, as I requested the template with an incorrect title. If it can’t be fixed, we would rather get that out than delay, but I figured I’d mention in possible. It is clearly an error, as if I referred to you as Chert
in this letter. Thanks tc "When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us."

On Behalf Of Chet Ensign Oh agree completely! Getting them done and out of the way is the best result. On Tue, Jan 14, 2014 at 10:04 AM, Considine, Toby <Toby.Considine@unc.edu> wrote: Thanks, Chet. I saw the PR was not in the news and assumed that was why. Even so, it would be good for editors to review the 16 remaining issues. Maybe we have 2-3 left for
after the PR, but they should be done. tc "When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed

On Behalf Of Chet Ensign Hi Toby - Oh sorry sorry - I gave you the wrong impression! We aren't holding up the public review. It is just a lot of stuff to prepare, complicated by the fact that we missed the blindingly obvious nuance that "oBIX" is now "OBIX." Forcing
us to go back and fix and regenerate everything. We are cranking out all the content and I expect to announce the public review in a day or two. Also, yes I do want a standalone document of comment resolutions BUT you need not have actually *resolved* the comments. If you are still working through them, the status could
just be left "pending consideration by the TC" or something like that. I realize that these things can take a long time to wade through. I don't want to rush to you all to act on things prematurely. Again, apologies for the mixup and the long amount of time it has taken to get these ready to go. We are getting your public review launched as quickly as we can. And I am happy
to accept a comment resolution log that communicates whatever the state of things whenever you have it for me. We can prepare them a report out of Jira, but only if Jira is up-to-date. We have 16 remaining issues. Please review them today and move them to resolved if they have been completed. We can then vote to close them all on Thursday, and prepare a report
of closed issues to the TC Administrators. Voting will be by exception. I will accept a motion to close them all, and then accept amendments by issue. In other words, if you thing #7 was not done to your satisfaction, you
can move that we accept #7 This requires that everyone review the issues they care about, and be prepared to move for the exception. When we are all done, we can move the exceptions back to open. tc "Energy and persistence conquer all things." -- Benjamin Franklin
