"Sections 6.2 - 6.4, inclusive, briefly summarize the rules for URI Normalization.
Suggestion: since RFC 3986 takes sixty (60) pages to lay out the rules for URIs, wouldn't it be better to mark these sections as non-normative summaries and include a reference to RFC3986 for anyone who attempts to implement this specification?
Reasoning that implementations will be interoperable by following the rules fully specified by RFC3986, even if this prose is retained as informative for non-implementers."
