Good feedback. Removed the references from the abstract and split the Schema references in two as proposed and changed to standalone="yes". Side remark the NetFlix service is the only service I found that actually uses this declaration, and it uses "true" :-)

I am somewhat struggling with the reformulated abstract and introduction:
 - CSDL is (an) XML (dialect) defined with an XML Schema and additional prose text, so "articulated in" and "based upon" don't resonate with me. @Native speakers: please help.

 - "Many representations of such models are possible. CSDL defines one representation" sounds somewhat misleading as we don't have another representation at the moment.

 - EDMX wrapper: the proposed text is more readable, but less exact as the wrapper actually consists of an <edmx:Edmx> root element and a nested <edmx:DataServices> element around the top-level <csdl:Schema> element. Putting that into the introduction makes it more exact and less readable, so I am at a loss here what to do.

The bookmark names btw. reflect the section numbering of the contributed document, so they are one off on the top level.
