Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (ODATA-437) Describe path syntax for edm:Annotations/@Target

    [ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/ODATA-437?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=33840#action_33840 ]

Ralf Handl commented on ODATA-437:
----------------------------------

Also excluded edm:Schema from this list because we still have no rule that forbids schema namespaces that are a segment prefix of each other:
- com.example
- com.example.unit
are both valid schema names, and com.example.unit may also be an entity type in schema com.example.

Which would advise for preferring aliases in qualified names.

> Most CSDL elements can be annotated by adding edm:Annotation child elements.
> The edm:Annotations element allows to annotate named CSDL elements by specifying them as the Target using a path expression. Unfortunately the syntax of these path expressions is not defined.
