Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (ODATA-540) Explicitly state that the Context URL locates (a specific portion of) the metadata document

    [ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/ODATA-540?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=35040#action_35040 ]

Michael Pizzo commented on ODATA-540:
-------------------------------------

In fact, in we have discussed the idea that GET on the context url return the parsed form of all of the information available in the context url (set, type, path, cardinality, projection, etc.)

For consistency, we would probably define a format for the fragment and make the additional information an "expanded" from of that fragment.

> It appears that Context URL is just a description, not a location, of a resource. Thus the term "URL" may be inappropriate, and "URI" may be more appropriate.
