Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] (ODATA-1093) DMTF needs a feature to allow the schema references to become references to a local files. Use cases include testing and implementations that do not allow access to the web.

George Ericson commented on ODATA-1093:
---------------------------------------

The "file" URL format is a start, but the issue is more than just trying to use a local URI; we want to avoid requiring implementations to modify existing schema to point to local copies. Doing that would require everyone to download, modify, and publish standard schemas, which can be error prone.
