Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] (ODATA-1243) Clarify whether $orderby and string comparison with ge, gt, le, lt is language-specific

Ralf Handl created ODATA-1243:
---------------------------------

Summary: Clarify whether $orderby and string comparison with ge, gt, le, lt is language-specific
                 Key: ODATA-1243
                 URL: https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/ODATA-1243
Project: OASIS Open Data Protocol (OData) TC
          Issue Type: New Feature
          Components: Protocol, URL Conventions
    Affects Versions: V4.01_CS01
         Environment: Proposed
            Reporter: Ralf Handl
             Fix For: V4.01_CS02

Alphabetical order of modified letters (Ã, Ã,ÂÃ, ...) is language-specific, see e.g. [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alphabetical_order#Language-specific_conventions]

Currently it is neither specified how this must be implemented, nor is it explicitly left to the specific service.
