Subject: Re: [odata] Rapid leverage of GraphQL based distruputions
As far as I can tell, this did not work as expected.
Look at the detail results for odata.

If I exclude “fost” it looks still good

Unfortunately, the OData trend is for 'A fost odata' by Martin Mosch…
Searching for OData v4 and variants is not so fun.

Looking at the Google trend worldwide OData is more sought-after than OpenAPI
https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?q=odata,graphql,openapi
And in Romania we totally beat both GraphQL and OpenAPI – “hai odata!" means “let’s go!” 😊
Another fun fact: OData also wins in south-west Germany, besides having no special meaning in German – what might be the reason for that?

To put this into scale. JQuery which is undoubtedly the most popular js library is being used in only 400k projects on GitHub.

Love it!
To extend it here is Google trends
https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?hl=en-GB&tz=-60&geo=US&q=odata,graphql,openapi&sni=3
The most important stats are GitHub `used by` - which is only limited to public open source projects on GitHub.
When counting just graphql _javascript_ library it is being used by more than 300k different projects on GitHub. Apollo libraries have another 600k each! That is not even counting hundreds of independed libs that do not use reference tools or use them indirectly by graphql-express
That is just _javascript_ language - they support almost every Lang starting from C++ to Swift.
This is unbelievably huge. To compare OpenAPI parser and validator is being used in less than 200 projects!

Hi,
Last week on the OData call, we discussed several options for representing Rapid.
We should keep in mind how our choices can be leveraged to obtain wider adoption.
