Section [14.4.4.1ÂCanonical Functions|https://docs.oasis-open.org/odata/odata-csdl-xml/v4.01/odata-csdl-xml-v4.01.html#sec_CanonicalFunctions] defines that all URL functions can be used with prefix {{odata.}}.

We added sectionÂ[5.1.1.7.1ÂmatchesPattern|https://docs.oasis-open.org/odata/odata/v4.01/odata-v4.01-part2-url-conventions.html#sec_matchesPattern] to the URL Conventions, making sectionÂ[14.4.4.3ÂFunctionÂodata.matchesPattern|https://docs.oasis-open.org/odata/odata-csdl-xml/v4.01/odata-csdl-xml-v4.01.html#sec_FunctionodatamatchesPattern] in the CSDL specifications redundant (and slightly confusing).
