TheÂ[WhatWG URL|https://url.spec.whatwg.org/]Âspecification defines an API for manipulating URLs that usesÂapplication/x-www-form-urlencoded for parsing and serializing query options.

This API encodesÂspace (octet 0x20) as {+} (octet 0x2B), and consequently decodesÂ{+} (octet 0x2B) asÂspace (octet 0x20).
