My name is Llorenç Pagés and I am Chief Editor of Upgrade, the European
Journal for the Informatics Professional published on behalf of CEPIS (an
organization that unites 37 Informatics Professional Societies from 33
European countries).
I am also Chief Editor of Novatica, the oldest and most prestigious Spanish
Journal of Computer Science and Technology.

At the moment, we are planning to publish a monograph about the "Open
Document Format (ODF)", one of the OASIS standards, including some
of the
last new developments around it. This monograph will be published in the
December issue of Upgrade and the November-December issue of Novática.

Therefore, I would like to invite you, as a representative and promoter
of
the OASIS activities in Europe, to write an article for that monograph.

The subject of your paper could range from the most generic aspects of
standards and their relevance in the computing industry, including how
OASIS
works and the proceedings it follows to develop them, to more specific
issues about standard document formats and ODF. I’m sure that all these
subjects would be of great interest for our readers. 

We would be very honoured you were among the authors of our monograph and
would thank you very much for your contribution. Our deadline would be
by
early December.
