Here is the next iteration of the ODF
Camp test documents and instructions. I'd be interested in feedback
on clarity of the instructions and difficulty level of the documents.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Interoperability Camp Homework Instructions
Each participating project or vendor
should take each of the following 4 sample documents and create an ODF
text document (ODT extension) that best matches the sample document. In
most cases the entire document will not need to be reproduced, but only
certain pages, as indicated in the detailed instructions.
Each participant must complete these
sample documents and email them by September 18th to XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX (need
instructions here). The documents should be named XXX_1.odt, , XXX_2.odt,
etc., where XXX is the vendor or project name. So, OO_1.odt,
KDE_2.odt, etc.
At the Interoperability Camp each participant
will have the opportunity to load documents produced by all of the other
vendors, to see how well they are rendered. So if there are 6 different
vendors participating, you will be looking at 5 different versions of each
sample document, in addition to the one that you created.
Note that if your product is an ODF
viewer not an ODF editor, then you have no homework to do.
Finally, each participant may bring
one or more "challenge documents" in ODF format that we can try
in all of the projects, time permitting.
For more information, please contact
XXXXXXXXXXXX.
Sample Document #1
The goal is to reproduce in an interoperable
fashion page 1 of this document. This is a Belgian, dual-language
regulation with Dutch on the left and French on the right. You
will want to pay attention to the alignment of the various sections, how
the languages remain aligned. This is critical. Again, do not
reproduce the entire document, but only the first page.
The source document for this sample
was taken from: https://www.socialsecurity.be/foreign/en/employer_limosa/infos/documents/pdf/act_mb_28122006.pdf
Sample Document #2
The goal here is to recreate all 3 pages
of this ACM template. Since this intended for use as a template,
you should create named styles as appropriate for the various list and
header styles. Note the detailed requirements mentioned in the text
of the sample, and try to follow them as closely as possible.
The source document for this sample
was taken from a Word template here: http://www.acm.org/sigs/publications/proceedings-templates
Sample Document #3
In this test we will work with page
42 (Section 5.2.1) of this report. The goal here is to work on interoperability
of text that contains mathematical notation, which ODF represents as MathML.
Only do page 42.
The original version of this report
was the ESTAT_Report_with_Equations_EN_Level3.docx document taken from
the ODF Add-in for Word SourceForge project, part of the "EuroLook"
set of test documents. The complete set of test documents is here:
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=169337&package_id=210014
Sample Document #4
This test will look at interoperability
of forms. You should try to reproduce page 1 of this sample document.
The logo image used in the header is provided as image1.png
The original document was from the Page
1 from the Generalitat de Catalunya website:
