The opendoc society is an initiative of a few people in Holland and Belgium
that are related to ISOC (Internet Society). I will be present at the inaugural
meeting. Also a "Staatssecretaris" (member of government of The
Netherlands) will be present, together with people from ICTU (the
formal administration in Holland looking into standardisation in The
Netherlands).

There is also a second meeting planned in Belgium in November.
