Marino Marcich                ODF Alliance
Dee Schur,                 OASIS
Carol Geyer,                 OASIS

Agenda:

1.) Logistics
    - Roll call --- Roll Call completed; a quorum was achieved.
    - Acceptance of open minutes from previous meetings --- No minutes to ballot.
    - Acceptance of today's agenda  -- Accepted

2.) ODF Interop Plan
    - Subcommittee formation?

Discussion on organization structure best suited to tackle the issue(s). Consensus reached that a Sub Committee (SC) be formed under the ODF Adoption TC charter.

Action: Don agreed to request assistance from Mary McRae to formally structure an ODF Interop SC withinin the ODF Adoption TC. This will require a written SC charter compatible with the top level charter. SC members must be OASIS members.

     - Communications strategy
--- A 'devlist mail service' was agreed to be the optimum communications tool for collaborating on the ODF Interop issues. Such a list would be open to subscribers. By contrast a Forum would be fully open, with no requirement for registration, and as such be very easy to write to. This also represents the primary pitfall of a forum open to spamming and other forms of Internet abuse.

Discussion followed on the need for a more formal liaison with active members of the ODF Fellowship equally concerned with ODF Interoperability.

- Future ODF Camp opportunities --- potential members to participate incude: HaanSoft, RedOffice, KOffice Sept Solutions, IBM Symphony, Google Docs, and OpenOffice.

3.)  Re-invigorating the ODF Focus Area / opendocument.xml.org -- we did not discuss this item

4.) Upcoming Events
     - XML 2007, Boston, December
    - OpenOffice.org Regional Conference in India in December
    - Lotusphere 2008, Orlando, January 20 - 24, 2008

5.) ODF News / Round Table
   - Summary of 1st International ODF Users Workshop (Oct 29 - 30, 2007, Berlin)
--- a summary was given by Marino, Don and Erwin. 20 countries were represented. The event was a big success and will likely repeat.
    - Content/news that should be published on opendocument.xml.org
