Subject: RE: [office-accessibility] Agenda and Logistics for 2/23/06 Accessibility Subcommittee Teleconference

I'm good with all those recommendations Peter. I have to check my schedule,
but I believe I can make OASIS.

Accessibility Subcommittee Teleconference

Hi Nathaniel,

Thanks for this excellent agenda. I fear it is too much to cover well in
1 hour. Perhaps we might consider some re-ordering, and perhaps also we
might address some items via e-mail? Specifically, I wonder if we could at
least touch on item IX DAISY tomorrow (so perhaps move it up in the
agenda?). Also for item V., perhaps we might be able to cover some/all of
that via e-mail?

For an in-person SC meeting, two piggy-back opportunities come to my mind:

1. the CSUN Conference on Technology and Persons with Disabilities in Los
Angeles, CA next month March 20-25 (see http://www.csun.edu/cod/conf/). I
believe a number of us are already scheduled to be there, and on Thursday
March 23rd several of us are hosting a panel discussion titled "The Open
Document File Format - Accessibility Issues, Applications and Solutions"

2. the OASIS Symposium 2006, May 9-12 in San Francisco, CA (see
http://www.oasis-open.org/events/symposium_2006/). This seems like a logical
place for OASIS TC/SC in-person meetings. It is also far enough away to make
travel planning easier.

Peter
