I don't know if they where not implemented by intention, or because nobody thought about it. I can only say that they can't be implemented in the same way like in Writer. Technically, in Writer it's a frame containing the image, anchored in a frame containing the caption text. Impress has only shapes, no frames that can contain other frames... Malte.
