You are correct.  Our (accessibility SC) understanding of Florian's 
table proposal was that it was for ODF 1.2, and specifically that 
members of the TC wanted time for a thoughtful review of everything one 
might put in a table in a presentation, and so didn't want to rush this 
for ODF 1.1.  The accessibility SC is comfortable using an embedded Calc 
spreadsheet for representing tables within presentations for now, and 
looks forward to working with the TC as the table proposal matures.
