image selection

I posted last week, mail screw up seems to have blocked it.

Writing on alt text,


In order to add alt text to an image it must be selected.
Using a mouse it is double click, options or right click picture.

How do I advise people to do that who are not mouse users?
I.e. keyboard alternative.
I'm using Open Office.


I'm also presuming we're writing for document authors,
there was an implication that we are writing for implementors.

Which is right?
