Subject: Re: [office-comment] ODFF: RATE
Hi Eike > RATE( Number Nper ; Number Payment ; Number Pv [ ; Number Fv = 0 [ ; Number PayType = 0 [ ; Number Guess = 0.1 ] ] ] ) > > which looks correct to me. Example: RATE(2,80,-200,,1) produces an answer in Excel [and RATE(2;80;-200;;1) in Calc] so you can omit Fv yet still have PayType and/or Guess. In my befuddled late night state I can't immediately see how to encode that... probably obvious to you ;) Interesting Excel appears to allow Payment to be omitted as well, probably if Pv and/or Fv is included. I've not studied this function properly yet, but Calc follows suit in other similar functions.... David
