Subject: Groups - OpenFormula Specification 2007-06-19a (ODT) (openformula-20070619a.odt) uploaded

This version adds IFERROR and IFNA, as discussed on the mailing list.
These were added to the "Logical Functions" set because of their similarity
to IF(), and to the "Medium" set because they are (1) easy to implement,
(2) widely useful, and (3) counter a number of problems that lead to errors
in spreadsheets (a serious problem today). It also hides many more test
cases and other annotations, including for ALL the functions in the
"Mathematical Functions". This does NOT include the updated JIS and ASC
functions created by Eike (that's to be done). Note that this version is
based on the file uploaded by Eike Rathke (labelled "OpenFormula
Specification 2007-06-18" yet was actually posted on 2007-06-19).

 -- Mr. David Wheeler

The document revision named OpenFormula Specification 2007-06-19a (ODT)
(openformula-20070619a.odt) has been submitted by Mr. David Wheeler to the
OpenDocument - Formula document repository. This document is revision #56
of openformula-spec-20060221.odt.

Document Description:
OpenFormula is an open format for exchanging recalculated formulas between
office application implementations, particularly for spreadsheets.
OpenFormula defines the types, syntax, and semantics for calculated
formulas, including many predefined functions and operations, so that
formulas can be exchanged between applications and produce substantively
equal outputs when recalculated with equal inputs. Both closed and open
source software can implement OpenFormula.

OpenFormula is intended to be a supporting document to the Open Document
Format for Office Applications (OpenDocument) format, particularly for
defining its attributes table:formula and text:formula. It can be used in
other circumstances where a simple, easy-to-read infix notation is desired
for exchanging recalculated formulas.
