Subject: GAMMA constraint
Hi, I got the following comment on the GAMMA definition: | in ODF 6.15.31 I find | "Syntax: GAMMA( Number N ) | Constraints: N >= 0" | | I think the constraint is wrong. | GAMMA(0) is not defined. | | But there is no need for N>0. The gamma function is defined for negative | numbers too, besides the singularities for non-positive integers. | | Therefore the constraint should be | N in setR setminus setZ sup{""<=0} | (use OOo Math to see the formula) I'll change that accordingly if there are no objections. AFAIK none of the "usual" spreadsheet applications does implement GAMMA so far, so we won't have to keep a Portable Constraint N>=0, or should we? Eike -- Automatic string conversions considered dangerous. They are the GOTO statements of spreadsheets. --Robert Weir on the OpenDocument formula subcommittee's list.
