Subject: RE: [office-formula] Propagation of errors
The functions ISERR, ISERROR and ISNA are examples of functions that do not propagate errors. The vast majority of functions do propagate errors. Defining how functions and operators propagate errors may be a complex task given that OpenFormula allows for a wide range of error values, but it would be worthwhile task. -Eric -----Original Message----- From: Dennis E. (Exceptions would be functions and operations that are defined to check for errors.) How functions and operations propagate what errors is probably something to be defined (or made implementation defined ... [;<). There might be a small number of cases that could be appealed to by reference rather than restatement. - Dennis -----Original Message----- From: Patrick Durusau [mailto:patrick@durusau.net] Sent: Friday, December 11, 2009 06:11 To: office-formula@lists.oasis-open.org Subject: [office-formula] Propagation of errors Greetings! Do *any* of the functions as defined by OpenFormula propagate errors? Searching on "propagate error values" I haven't found any. Make me wonder why we keep repeating this. Hope everyone is having a great day!
