Subject: Conflict between Part 1 and Part 2
Greetings! Just in case anyone is dodging the flood of JIRA comments, ;-), do take note of Office-2343 on Date and DateTime that has uncovered an apparent conflict between parts 1 and 2. http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-2343 Briefly, part 1 sets a default of 1899-12-30 and part 2 says evaluators "*shall* support all dates from 1904-01-01 through 9999-12-31 (inclusive), with correct calculations." (Emphasis added) Looks like it leaves out the default set by part 1. Andreas has suggested additional setting information to process 1900 as leap year expressions. (we currently lack a mechanism to signal that, we simply say they exist). Hope everyone is having a great day! Patrick PS: Yes, the default value, 1899-12-30, appeared in ODF 1.0/1.1. -- Patrick Durusau patrick@durusau.net Chair, V1 - US TAG to JTC 1/SC 34 Convener, JTC 1/SC 34/WG 3 (Topic Maps) Editor, OpenDocument Format TC (OASIS), Project Editor ISO/IEC 26300 Co-Editor, ISO/IEC 13250-1, 13250-5 (Topic Maps)
