Yes? No. This was in the Portable Constraints and meant for evaluators that do not have a distinct Logical type. For those, if the sort order was numeric<alpha<logical, having logical mixed with numeric and/or alpha would yield unpredictable results. Hence the original portable constraint that SearchRegion must either not include Logical at all, or only Logical. However, I think that your current text as posted in another mail (SearchRegion must not include Logical, but evaluators may process a SearchRegion that does) suits the needs. IMHO this is a case where portable constraint really made sense, but since we wanted to get rid of them... Eike -- Automatic string conversions considered dangerous.
