Subject: Re: [office-metadata] [Fwd: Re: Comment on "Meta to RDF" proposal]
Tim, Just a quick response on this (I'm on the metadata sc) On Apr 5, 2006, at 7:05 AM, Patrick Durusau wrote: > Greetings! > > A suggestion from Tim Berners-Lee for the metadata SC. FYI, we have not yet had the first conference call meeting of the SC, and we've just started collecting use cases, which we're putting on our wiki: <http://wiki.oasis-open.org/office/metadata_use_cases> We are encouraging people to submit suggestions. However, the TC had been discussing metadata since last summer (I joined in January), so I do think there's at least some consensus for the need for a general metadata framework in ODF, and an understanding of a general approach, as well as potential issues. I laid out my own perspective on issues and ways forward most clearly here, just to give you a sense: <http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/office/200602/msg00017.html> We formed the SC to provide a more clear forum and structure to move forward on resolving what we want to do and how.
