MINUTES OF THE OASIS OPEN OFFICE XML FORMAT TC MEETING AUGUST, THE 9TH, 2004, 3PM GMT – 4PM GMT Attendees --------- Doug Alberg <doug.alberg@boeing.com>, Boeing Michael Brauer <michael.brauer@sun.com>, Sun Microsystems Patrick Durusau <Patrick.Durusau@sbl-site.org>, Society of Biblical Literature Gary Edwards <garyedwards@yahoo.com> David Faure <faure@kde.org> Tom Magliery <tom.magliery@blastradius.com>, Blast Readius Daniel Vogelheim <daniel.vogelheim@sun.com>, Sun Microsystems Acceptance of Minutes of the July, the 19th meeting -------------------------------------------------- - The attending TC members unanimously accepted the minutes. Action Items ------------ - David Faure: look into aligning image filter proposal with SVG, and rework proposal if possible - in progress Image Opacity ------------- The TC discussed the proposal regarding image opacity at http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/office/200407/msg00029.html. The TC unanimously agreed to the proposal. Hyphenation Properties ---------------------- The TC discussed whether the two hyphenation properties "fo:hyphenation-keep" and "fo:hyphenation-ladder-count" should be turned from paragraph properties into text properties (see http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/office/200408/msg00002.html). The TC unanimously agreed to keep them as paragraph properties. File Name Extensions and MIME types ----------------------------------- The TC discussed the OpenOffice.org proposal regarding MIME types and file extensions (see http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/office/200408/msg00004.html). The TC unanimously agreed to specify MIME types and extensions for the basic document types text, spreadsheet, drawing, presentation, chart and formula within the base specification. The TC additionally agreed to ad MIME types and extensions for template documents. The TC agreed to follow the OpenOffice.org proposal for MIME types and extensions for these document types: application/x-vnd.oasis.openoffice.text / oot application/x-vnd.oasis.openoffice.text-template / ott application/x-vnd.oasis.openoffice.spreadsheet / oos application/x-vnd.oasis.openoffice.spreadsheet-template / ots application/x-vnd.oasis.openoffice.drawing / ood application/x-vnd.oasis.openoffice.drawing-template / otd application/x-vnd.oasis.openoffice.presentation / oop application/x-vnd.oasis.openoffice.presentation-template / otp application/x-vnd.oasis.openoffice.chart / ooc application/x-vnd.oasis.openoffice.chart-template / otc application/x-vnd.oasis.openoffice.formula / oof application/x-vnd.oasis.openoffice.formula-template / otf The TC also discussed whether extension and MIME types for application specific document types like OpenOffice.org's HTML templates should be covered by the TC. There was a consensus that they at least should not become part of the base specification. The discussions will be continued in the next TC meeting.
