Subject: Proposal: number:denominator-value
This proposal extends 14.7.1 Number Style, sub-heading "Fraction". I'm told that many spreadsheet programs (Excel, Gnumeric and KSpread) support a number-style for fractions where the denominator has a fixed value. Currently if you have numbers like 0.5 and 0.6, the fraction style might choose 1/2 and 3/5, which makes it difficult to compare those numbers. The user can specify "those should be fractions with 10 as denominator", so that the above numbers are displayed as 5/10 and 6/10. The proposal is to add the attribute number:denominator-value which is an integer value. -- David Faure, faure@kde.org, sponsored by Trolltech to work on KDE, Konqueror (http://www.konqueror.org), and KOffice (http://www.koffice.org).
