Dear TC members, please find below a summary from Waldo Bastian where he describes what Intel intents to do. I believe OpenDocument sample documents for OpenDocument will be very helpful, so I would like thank him and Intel for offerening to create some. Best regards Michael -------- Original Message -------- Subject: OpenDocument Sample Documents Date: Mon, 11 Jul 2005 17:19:43 +0100 From: Bastian, Waldo <waldo.bastian@intel.com> To: Michael Brauer <Michael.Brauer@Sun.COM> Hi Micheal, This is the summary of what we intent to do. Cheers, Waldo OpenDocument Sample Documents * The adoption of the OpenDocument file format by third party application developers can be supported by making available a set of example documents that cover the entire standard. * Typically, each document should cover 1 feature and be limited to 1 page. Documents relating to multi-pag features can be longer. * A total of 300 documents is expected to cover the entire standard: - 60 for word processing - 60 for presentations - 60 for spreadsheets - 60 for vector drawings - 20 for embedding - 40 for toplevel images, charts and misc. * Each example document should be accompanied with a suggested rendering. - OpenDocument does not prescribe the exact rendering of a document so there is no notion of "correct" rendering, OpenOffice can probably be used as reference in most cases.
