Subject: OpenDocument TC coordination call minutes 2007-07-09
* rollcall Yue Ma, IBM Helen Yue, IBM Hironobu Takagi, IBM Pete Brunet, IBM Robert Weir, IBM Patrick Durusau David A. Wheeler Michael Brauer, Sun Microsystems Lars Oppermann, Sun Microsystems Eike Rathke, Sun Microsystems Oliver Wittmann, Sun Microsystems * minutes from last week The attending TC members unanimously accepted the minutes from the last coordination-call. * action items all: review metadata examples - done * subtables Michael: we agreed to discourage this attribute where spans are more appropriate - when is is-subtable appropriate Pete: addressing mechanism gets confusing when subtable is used for splitting+joining DavidW: sudoku is an example Pete: we should be able to create a test case for that DavidW: a language that says to use spanning for spanning and subtables for subtables would be the best course of action Oliver: I think this is mostly an application problem Pete: correct, thus our request was to add some guidance to the spec so that implementors don't make that mistake again. DavidW: I can try to put together a sample, I just need a puzzle that is free to use Lars: I think there are some with a license we may use in the haskell wiki... I'll send those Eike: some minor updates for the formula spec... DavidW: just put them in with change tracking and I'll merge them in -- Sun Microsystems Lars Oppermann <lars.oppermann@sun.com> Nagelsweg 55 Software Engineer 20097 Hamburg, Germany Phone: +49 40 23646 959 http://www.sun.com/ Fax: +49 40 23646 550 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Sitz der Gesellschaft: Sun Microsystems GmbH, Sonnenallee 1, D-85551 Kirchheim-Heimstetten, Amtsgericht Muenchen: HRB 161028 Geschaeftsfuehrer: Wolfgang Engels, Dr. Roland Boemer Vorsitzender des Aufsichtsrates: Martin Haering
