We have not discussed that yet, but I would suggest that someone goes through the defaults and suggest what the default values should be for each individual property, based on the values the vendors provided. The other TC members then need to check this proposal, and have to complain if one of the proposed values seem not to be reasonable to them, so that we can discuss these values in detail. But your question alerted me about something else that I have not noticed before: What we are looking for are the values that are used if a document does not specify a default value itself. But we have created the list of OpenOffice.org defaults by saving an empty document that we have created in OpenOffice.org. In these documents, the defaults may differ from those that are used at import time, because we set a few default values explicitly while creating new documents, which aren't set when importing documents, unless the documents specifies a default itself. This is the case if the default we want to have for new documents has changed, or can be assumed to be a non standard one. So, I think we have to redo the generation of a default value list for OOo by starting with a document that does not define defaults, importing that into OOo, and by saving it again. I would not be surprised if the default value for "fo:auto-gow-height" changes to "false" in OOo, too.
