automatic styles are stored in the <office:automatic-styles> element.
common styles are stored in the <office:styles> element.
master styles are stored in the <office:master-styles> element.

In ODF 1.1 this is described in section 2.7.1. For ODF 1.2, these 
section was merged with section 2.7.
