ODF 1.2 Version Significance Proposal - Update #3

This is the third response to review of the Version Significance Proposal.

Update #2 on when ODF 1.2 documents are also compatible with earlier specifications is at <http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/office/200901/msg00077.html>.

I will incorporate the restatements in the proposal at <http://wiki.oasis-open.org/office/ODF_1.2_Version_Significance>.  I will produce a recap that combines all of these updates as the revised draft.  

TREATMENT OF ODF 1.2 DOCUMENTS BY EARLIER PROCESSORS

COMMENT:

Actually, the treatment of such documents is subject to the ODF 1.0 and
1.1 specifications. Whether an ODF 1.2 application additionally supports
ODF 1.0 and/or 1.1 is implementation specific. It may, or it may not. It
is nothing where we should make any assumptions or statements in the ODF
1.2 specification

RESPONSE:

This statement was about treatment of documents identified as ODF 1.2 documents by processors designed in support of earlier versions of the specification.

However, I think the restatement in Update #2 avoids needing to say more and I deleted the fragment quoted above as part of making Update #2.
