Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (OFFICE-1860) Editor Note: Section18.253 style:direction

    [ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-1860?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=11590#action_11590 ]

David Faure commented on OFFICE-1860:

This is strange indeed. For normal text, the direction of writing is controlled by
style:writing-mode (which supports rl-tb and lt-rb).

I guess the historical reason is that charts and table-cells didn't support all writing modes in OpenOffice?
It would seem much more consistent to use style:writing-mode for charts and table-cells too, though.
