Well, but I viewed is as repeating the content of the first item and contrasting it with ODF representations that appear in the content stream.

And the note doesn't address the issue of "non-embedded ODF documents."

To clarify:

1) Contained in the same package as a document... -> embedded object, stored in folder

2) Contained in separate OpenDocument... -> non-embedded ODF document

3) Contained in a child <office:document> ...-> content stream of document

4) Contained in a child <math:math> ...> content stream of document

(for 3 and 4, relying on: "If an author chooses to include an object by external reference (xlink:href, xlink:type, xlink:show, xlink:actuate), then the child elements <math:math> and <office:document> are unavailable.")

I saw the note as repeating what 1) had already said. It is more incomplete in that it doesn't mention that 3 and 4 are content stream items.
