Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (OFFICE-1610) Editor Note: Section17.529 svg:d

    [ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-1610?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12046#action_12046 ]

Patrick Durusau commented on OFFICE-1610:

Well, yes, but see the latest changes for draw:enhanced-path. Which was based on svg:d.

My preference is for using other standards as written save for exception circumstances. Super-setting is a little easier to justify because existing standards may expand to take on additional capabilities. I don't remember seeing any contract to cover a subset of what was originally defined.
