Which processing steps? This is about DDE (Dynamic Data Exchange) client/server connections. A description of a DDE client to server connection consists of a server application, a topic and an item. These are stored as attributes of the <office:dde-source> element, office:dde-application, office:dde-topic and office:dde-item. The <table:table> element contained within <table:dde-link> holds the cached data obtained during the last connection. In an <office:spreadsheet> application, a DDE connection is setup using the OpenFormula DDE spreadsheet function. Other applications use other means.
