Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Updated: (OFFICE-2022) Section 5.8(References) doesn't explicitly state how 3D range references handle sheetspositioned between the worksheets named in the reference

Eike Rathke updated OFFICE-2022:
--------------------------------

    Resolution:
Change section 6.3.10 Infix Operator Reference Range (":") from
"Takes two references and computes the range, that is, a reference to the smallest 3-dimensional cube of cells that include both Left and Right."
to
"Takes two references and computes the range, that is, a reference to the smallest 3-dimensional cube of cells that include both Left and Right including the cells on sheets positioned between Left and Right."

Section 4.6 Reference says: "A reference refers to a cuboid of cells called a range. A special case is a single cell reference, a reference to a single cell."

Section 6.3.10 Infix Operator Reference Range (":") says: "Takes two references and computes the range, that is, a reference to the smallest 3-dimensional cube of cells that include both Left and Right."

A cuboid naturally includes the cells of the sheets between the sheets given by Left and Right. However, added clarification as lined out in the Resolution field.

Section 5.8 References defines the syntax, we should not add semantics there.

> Given a reference of the form: =SUM(['Sheet1'.B4:'Sheet2'.C5]), the current draft doesn't state that sheets positioned in the workbook between Sheet1 and Sheet2 should also be included in the range.
> 6.3.10 Infix Operator Reference Range (":") says: "Takes two references and computes the range, that is, a reference to the smallest 3-dimensional cube of cells that include both Left and Right."
