Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (OFFICE-1867) Public Comment:custom shape interop issues

    [ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-1867?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15968#action_15968 ]

Michael Brauer commented on OFFICE-1867:

Yes, we want to say that draw:type does influence the geometry of the shape. The geometry is defined only by the geometry data in the shape. The types does not influence it. Its purpose is to allow implementations to provide a specializes user interface for editing a particular shape. For instance, if you have a shape that looks like a smiley, an editing implementation may want to provide a user interface for letting it look happy or unhappy. However, this kind of things are implementation dependent. We probably don't want to list all shape type where office application implementors want to provide a specialized UI.
