If there is no normative schema that we can use for the XML Digital Signature element as part of our RNG schema for the ODF Digital Signature, I recommend that we use XML Schema for the ODF Digital Schema signature.  This would solve that problem with a clean, normative schema that appeals to the existing XML Schema for XML Digital signatures by however that is done using XML Schema.  I find it far preferable to a weird definition, using someone else's namespace, that is claimed to allow all possible element content.

Since we have been willing to go so far afield as to have an OWL Ontology and have no schema at all for the metadata.rdf files, I would think that an authoritative XML Schema is much less of a stretch and far more authoritative.
