Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] Commented: (OFFICE-2261) Public Comment: 1.2part 3 cd1, 3.8.3 manifest:checksum-type

    [ http://tools.oasis-open.org/issues/browse/OFFICE-2261?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=16890#action_16890 ]

Dennis Hamilton commented on OFFICE-2261:

I'm not sure that the statement "Actually SHA1/1K rather than plain SHA1 is in use for ODF." is factual, although it might be true of OpenOffice.org and the OpenOffice.org code base. I have seen reference to open-source library code for ODF (1.1) encryption/decryption that recognizes "SHA1" and "SHA1/1K" as different. I don't recall what was done if the required-attribute has an empty-string value.

In any case, we will need to document this as an apparent change/clarification from ODF 1.1, which makes no mention of SHA1/1K.

Is it possible for there to be fewer than 1024 bytes in the compressed but unencrypted file?
